Chicks Who Ride Bikes [CWRB] was founded in 2013 by Jordana Blackman, and is now the largest community of female cyclists in Australia. CWRB has hosted and sponsored dozens of events and supports initiatives such as SheRides, Diamonds in the Dirt and Chicks In The Sticks.
As well running Chicks Who Ride Bikes, Jordana is an active transport consultant in the Major Infrastructure sector and understands the power and value of female networks in male dominated environments.
With two decades in elite sport, as an athlete, commentator and administrator, Katey believes strongly in the power of shared experiences, community, and the empowerment sport can provide women.
She holds a number of board positions, and works in broadcasting as a sports commentator, covering iconic races such as the Tour Down Under, Commonwealth and Olympic Games and World Championships. Katey has an extensive history in event and community management and is passionate about getting more women on bikes, more often.
Nicki has over 20 years of experience as a personal trainer and is passionate about helping to build strong bodies for cycling.
Nicki is also qualified in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). Think of NLP as a user’s manual for the brain, and partaking in NLP training is akin to learning how to become fluent in the language of your mind so that the ever-so-helpful “server” that is your unconscious will finally understand what you actually want out of life.
De is CWRB's resident bike nerd and saddle fitter. As well as being totally into bikes, De is also celebrated as an Aboriginal artist, graphic artist, film maker, music producer and entrepreneur.
In the past De has worked as a chef and youth worker. She has completed her Bachelor of Nursing Science but her passion has always been with bikes, music, art and creating.
De has started running bike maintenance workshops for women, through which she enjoys giving people the opportunity to experience something new. De takes great pleasure in teaching and showing others how to appreciate the little things in life.
Tara is our Nutritionist and Chief Nom Nom Manager. She has a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional Medicine and is an Accredited Functional Nutritionist who is passionate about ‘keeping it real’ when it comes to eating for health. Taking a personal approach to the continued support of others.
She offers nutritional and dietary programs that are easy to follow and understand, and her recipes are totally delish.
Selina is a social rider & master racer who coaches grass roots riders to improve their skills, confidence, fitness & abilities whilst cycling.
She helps women and riders conquer their goals by focusing on building knowledge, skills, friendships, power, and confidence with a special focus on coaching females. Her philosophy is based on fairness, integrity, responsibility and respect.
